Checkeroni Bot
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Checkeroni runs automated availability checks on behalf of our users. When you see requests from our checkers in your logs, this page explains what they are and how to get them stopped.
User-Agent
HTTP and keyword checks identify themselves with this User-Agent:
Checkeroni/1.0 (+https://checkeroni.com/bot)
What the bot does
The Checkeroni bot periodically requests the URLs, hosts, or endpoints our customers configure as monitors. It checks whether those services are reachable and responding as expected so customers can spot outages and publish status pages.
- Checks may run as often as every 30 seconds, depending on the monitor settings.
- Requests are lightweight health checks, not scraping, crawling, or indexing.
- We only check targets customers explicitly add to their account.
Want the checks to stop?
If Checkeroni is checking a service you own and you want the traffic to stop, email checkeroni@vblinden.dev. Include the hostname or URL from your logs and we will take care of it.
