Refund Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid Checkeroni subscriptions. Checkeroni is operated by vblinden. Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Creem as our Merchant of Record.
Merchant of Record
When you purchase a paid plan, Creem is the Merchant of Record for that transaction. Creem processes your payment, appears on your card or bank statement as the seller for billing purposes, and handles tax collection where applicable. Checkeroni provides the monitoring product you subscribe to.
Creem's buyer terms also apply to your purchase. See Creem's Buyer Terms of Service.
Subscriptions and renewals
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example monthly) until canceled. Pricing is shown at checkout and on our pricing page. Taxes may be added by Creem based on your location.
Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rate for your plan.
Cancellation
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your billing settings (via the Creem customer portal) or by emailing checkeroni@vblinden.dev.
After you cancel, you keep access to paid features until the end of the current billing period. Your subscription will not renew for the next period. Cancellation does not automatically refund amounts already paid for the current period, except as described below or required by law.
Refunds
We want you to be able to try Checkeroni fairly. Our refund rules for paid subscriptions are:
- First paid charge: If you are unsatisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first successful payment for a paid plan, provided you have not substantially abused the Service (for example, clear Acceptable Use violations).
- After 14 days or later renewals: Fees for the current billing period are generally non-refundable. You may still cancel to stop future renewals.
- Plan changes and unused time: We do not typically prorate refunds for partial periods, downgrades mid-cycle, or unused monitoring capacity, unless we choose to do so as a goodwill gesture or are required by applicable law.
- Service failures: If a material outage on our side prevents you from using paid features for a significant period, contact us and we will review a fair credit or refund in good faith.
Where consumer law in your country gives you mandatory withdrawal or refund rights (for example certain EU/EEA rules), those rights take priority over this policy.
How to request a refund
Email checkeroni@vblinden.dev from the account email used for billing, and include:
- The email on your Checkeroni account
- Approximate purchase or renewal date
- Receipt or order reference if you have one
- A short reason for the request
We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are processed through Creem. Timing for the money to reappear on your payment method depends on Creem and your bank or card issuer (often several business days).
Creem may also process refunds under its own policies, including to help prevent chargebacks. See Creem's documentation and buyer terms for how they handle refunds and disputes.
Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks create fees and investigation overhead for everyone involved. We will try to resolve legitimate billing issues directly.
Chargebacks and payment disputes for purchases made through Creem are handled by Creem as Merchant of Record, in line with card network and provider rules.
Free plan
The free plan does not involve a payment to Creem and is not covered by this refund policy, except that free access may be limited or withdrawn under our Terms of Service.
Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version posted on this page applies to purchases made after the "Last updated" date. For prior purchases, we will apply the policy that was fair and applicable at the time of purchase, and any mandatory consumer protections.
